Here in Austin there is an amazing orchestra made up of healthcare workers — they come together, as volunteers, to make beautiful music together and to be in community with each other while expressing creativity: Central Texas Medical Orchestra
A few times a year they perform and each time they give a portion of the proceeds to local healthcare non-profits — this seems like a win-win-win — they play together and create art, reducing their stress and increasing social engagement, AND they donate the profits.
Their next performance, called “Unfinished Business” will be Saturday evening, May 3rd at Westover Hills Church of Christ - the beneficiary of this performance will be the Mindful Wellness Center of Austin (MWCA).
